Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Insulated Jacket - Women's Specifications

The most versatile piece of insulation that Patagonia makes, the Nano Puff pullover provides surprising warmth and terrific all-around performance in a superlight, no-frills package. The Nano Puff features a low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible PrimaLoft One (60 gram) insulation that traps heat with remarkably efficiency, even when wet.

The women's Nano Puff pullover stuffs into a single chest pocket and includes a carabiner clip-in loop.
On the exterior sits a wind-blocking, moisture-shedding, durable water-repellent (DWR), 100-percent all-recycled polyester shell that glides effortlessly, whether worn as a mid- or outer-layer. The materials combine to make the pullover extremely flexible--weather-resistant enough to wear as an insulated shell in a wet snowstorm, trim enough to pull on for chilly rock pitches (and still see your footholds), and warm enough for light belay parka duty on quick alpine dashes. Finally, the Nano Puff packs down to practically nothing and stuffs into a single chest pocket with a carabiner clip-in loop. As a result, it fits easily in your pack without adding excess bulk or space. Other features include elasticized cuffs and an elasticized hem, which seal out wind and trap warmth, and a deep-center front zipper that allows for easy ventilation. The Nano Puff weighs 8.2 ounces and comes in such colors as black, green oasis, and seaport.

Patagonia's Recycled Polyester Fleece
In 1993, Patagonia adopted fleece into its product line made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles--the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR clothing was a positive step for the company toward a more sustainable system, one that uses fewer resources, discards less, and better protects people's health. Over the course of 13 years, Patagonia saved some 86 million soda bottles from the trash heap--enough oil to fill the 40-gallon gas tank of the diminutive Chevy Suburban 20,000 times. Today, Patagonia is able to use even more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments, such as Capilene baselayers, shell jackets, and board shorts, as well as fleece. The company now recycles used soda bottles, unusable second-quality fabrics, and worn-out garments, and turns them into polyester fibers for many of its clothes. Patagonia also started the world's first garment recycling program. Consumers can give their old, worn-out Capilene baselayers, Patagonia fleece, or Polartec fleece (from any maker) to the company--either through the mail or at a Patagonia retail store or dealer--and Patagonia will make a new polyester garment from the materials using an innovative manufacturing process.

Technology
Patagonia seeks to build the best possible product while causing no unnecessary harm. As it applies to making products, the company works hard to source materials and use processes that are less harmful to the Earth without compromising quality. About Patagonia
Patagonia grew out of a small company that made tools for climbers, and alpinism remains at the heart of Patagonia's worldwide business. The company still makes clothes for climbing, as well as for skiing, snowboarding, surfing, fly fishing, paddling, and trail running. All are silent sports--none requires a motor, and none delivers the cheers of a crowd. In each sport, reward comes in the form of hard-won grace and moments of connection between the person and nature.

Patagonia's values reflect those of a business started by a band of climbers and surfers and the minimalist style they promoted. The company is also committed to reversing the steep decline in the environmental health of the planet. That's why Patagonia donates its time, services, and at least one percent of its sales to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups all over the world. The company also works steadily to reduce its own impact, from using recycled polyester in many of its own clothes and only organic, rather than pesticide-intensive, cotton. Patagonia is committed to continually evaluating every aspect of its business activity--from lighting stores to dyeing shirts--with the goal of reducing pollution output and mitigating its environmental impact.
